A classical result by Shi states that a complete Kahler metric with bounded curvature can be deformed by the Ricci flow with improved geometry. This result served as a basic ingredient for more advanced existence of the Kahler Ricci flow. In this talk, we discuss a generalization of Shi's result which only requires the metrics to be uniform equivalent to a metric with bounded curvature. This is a joint work of A. Chau.
